Rocky Linux 安装locate
locate 是一个命令行工具，用来在 Linux 系统中查找文件。它使用一个数据库来存储文件路径信息，这样你就可以使用 locate 命令来快速查找文件而不需要在整个文件系统中进行搜索。
1.有关 locate 命令的错误提示
但是当我们使用这个命令的时候有一些错误提示，如下：
[root@centos8 ~]#local
local locale localectl localedef
#通过TAB键补全，可以发现是没有locate命令的
[root@centos8 ~]#locate
-bash: locate: command not found通过 updatedb 来更新数据库的时候也报错，如下：
[root@centos8 ~]#updatedb
-bash: updatedb: command not found2.安装 mlocate 工具
mlocate 是一个用来维护这个数据库的工具。它会扫描文件系统并建立一个数据库，里面包含了文件的路径信息。然后你就可以使用 locate 命令来查找文件了。
[root@centos8 ~]#yum -y install mlocate

当我们安装这个工具以后，使用 locate 命令来搜索的话，还是会提示错误，如下：
[root@centos8 ~]#loca
local locale localectl localedef locate
#当我们使用tab键补全的时候发现已经有了 locate 这个命令，但是我们使用的时候还是会报错，如下：
[root@centos8 ~]#locate passwd #这条命令会在 mlocate 数据库中查找所有文件名包含 "passwd" 的文件。
locate: can not stat () `/var/lib/mlocate/mlocate.db': No such file or directory
#这说明 mlocate 数据库文件 /var/lib/mlocate/mlocate.db 不存在。可以看到 locate 这个命令已经有了，但是使用为什么还会报错呢？
这是因为我们没有使用 updatedb 来更新数据库。
3.使用updatedb更新数据库
[root@centos8 ~]#update
update-alternatives update-crypto-policies update-mime-database
update-ca-trust updatedb update-pciids
#通过tab键发现已经有updatedb这个命令
[root@centos8 ~]#updatedb
[root@centos8 ~]#再次搜索 passwd
[root@centos8 ~]#locate passwd
